Finn’s story

Finn’s journey started in 2014 when he arrived via cargo from Thailand, taken in by the Soi Dog Organization. We adopted him not knowing what to expect from a street dog. He settled in nicely and learned what it was like to be loved. I learned all about patience. He was a beautiful addition to our family and lived a life full of adventure.

Last year I reached out to Dr. McCaffrey after Finn was having trouble walking. She came over and examined him and diagnosed him with an ACL tear. He was too old for surgery so we treated it conservatively and he got a Librela injection for his osteoarthritis. She arrived each month to examine him at my home where Finn would be most comfortable. Finn made it another 13 months with this treatment.

I am forever grateful to Dr. McCaffrey for assisting me on this journey. Finn lived a wonderful life of 14.5 years. He will be terribly missed, and Dr. McCaffrey was so kind and compassionate as she eased his pain and put him at peace. We love you Finn.
