Hospice care: what to expect

Hospice isn’t giving up — it’s choosing comfort over cure. This guide explains what the process looks like and how we support your family through it.

When a pet’s illness can no longer be cured, hospice care shifts the goal from treatment to comfort — keeping pain managed, supporting the human–animal bond, and helping families make the most of the time that remains.

In practice, hospice care for pets often includes scheduled pain assessments, medication adjustments, nutritional support, and regular check-ins so you always have someone to call. We help you set up a comfortable environment at home and teach you what to look for as your pet’s needs change.

One of the most important things we offer is simply being present — answering your questions honestly, sitting with you in hard moments, and helping you feel confident that you are doing right by your companion.
